Now a resident of California, Melissa first began teaching in Utah in 2011. She earned her 800-hour yoga teacher training in Salt Lake City with In-Body Academy. She is certified to teach many modalities of yoga, from power yoga to yin. Early in her teaching career, she developed a yoga and mindfulness class at the Women’s and Children’s Shelter for survivors of domestic abuse. Melissa co-taught a yearly yoga program for children at the University of Utah Burn Survivor Camp. She also led a meditation class at the University of Utah Burn and Trauma unit for Doctors, Nurses, and Physical Therapists. Melissa’s classes are guided by the principle that within all of us there lies an innate power and strength. Creativity, mindfulness, and yoga philosophy are the foundations for which she structures every class. She invites you to find your center, step into your body, and connect with the power radiating from within you.
